The News Year’s Resolution Continues…

WOW, here it is October and at this writing it will be half-way spent this week.  Time sure flies FAST.  I started out on January 1st determined to read through the Bible this year.  I have read a lot of the Bible, but never the entire book.  So I thought this would be a good year to do that.

I love how God’s Word does these things in our lives:

  1.  He reminds us who He is  Isaiah 40:28-31 — 28 Do you not know?  Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.  29 He gives
    strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings
like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint
  2. He reminds us who we can be in Him — Colossians 3:1-3 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Reading on!  Ava
